Improve Blending and Build Value with Zac Rybacki
"I was the kid who wanted to draw on the placemats at restaurants and never really stopped," says Chicago-based artist Zac Rybacki, who eventually got his BFA from the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design.
"I’m drawn to the simplicity of graphite pencil drawing," he says. "I can’t seem to stop drawing portraits. I really love spending time with different faces and trying to capture a likeness while also trying to create something that’s aesthetically interesting . I lean toward more traditional poses and lighting that allow me to focus on structure, value, and edge quality."
In this lesson (91 mins), Zac will guide you through the process of drawing an inspiring Museum muse using graphite pencil. Let's get started!
